Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Parcel Proof Video (the “App”, “we”, “us”), provided by Triad Mark, collects, uses, stores, and protects information when a Shopify merchant (“you”, “Merchant”) installs and uses the App. By installing or using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the service:

• Store information — your myshopify.com domain, access tokens, plan, and app settings (e.g. video retention period).
• Order information — order ID and order name/number, line items (title and quantity), and the customer’s display name, retrieved from Shopify so packers can identify the order being recorded.
• Packing videos — the video your team records for an order, plus metadata (duration, file size, timestamps, the recording device).
• Device information — for the Android packer app: a device name and a long-lived API token created when you pair the device.

We do not collect customer payment details, and we request access only to the minimum Shopify data scopes required to operate.

2. How we use information

• To record, store, and play back packing-proof videos.
• To attach a private viewer link to the corresponding Shopify order (stored in the order metafield parcel_proof.video_url).
• To enforce plan limits and process billing through Shopify.
• To show recording/upload activity to the Merchant.

3. How videos are stored and shared

Videos are uploaded directly from the packer’s device to secure cloud storage (Google Cloud Storage). Each video is accessible only via an unguessable link and is streamed through a temporary, expiring secure URL. The Merchant chooses how to share that link with their customer (for example, through their own messaging tools). We do not sell or share video content with third parties for advertising.

4. Data retention

Packing videos are automatically deleted after the retention period set by the Merchant, up to a maximum of 45 days. Store and order records are retained while the App is installed and are removed following uninstall as described below.

5. Data deletion & GDPR

We honor Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks:

• Customer data request — we provide the data we hold related to the requested customer’s orders.
• Customer redact — we delete videos and data associated with the specified customer orders.
• Shop redact — approximately 48 hours after uninstall, we delete the store’s data and associated videos.

You may also request deletion at any time by emailing support@triadmark.com.

6. Third-party services

• Shopify — for authentication, orders, metafields, and billing.
• Google Cloud Storage — for secure video storage.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

7. Security

Access tokens and device tokens are stored encrypted or hashed. Videos are served only via short-lived signed URLs. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for business use by merchants and is not directed to children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
